When last I posted, I had a pile of projects cut and interfaced. Now, I have everything quilted that needed to be quilted and NINE completed items!

I started with the Hemingway pouch – a quick and easy sew, but make sure you de-bulk the seam when you add the trim. It will look better and make the zipper installation smoother. Cutting it down to about 1/8 of an inch was a game-changer. I also added a cute zipper tag from my stash and one of the cork tags from Heartwood and Hide.

Next up were two Sew Sweetness patterns – the Trifle Tumbler from Minikins 1 and the Bluestem Pouch from Minikins 4.

This stuff was all finished by Saturday evening, but Sunday turned into super sewing day. (Although I did take a few hours at the pool.)
I started around 10:30 Sunday morning with a pair of Split-Open Pouches in a wild teal vinyl with lining from Anna Maria Horner’s fabric. These were easy to make and a great way to use some of the cute colorful snaps I got for another project a couple of years ago. I also made one slight change – I used FOE instead of making bias binding. I feel like this made covering the small, bulky seams a lot easier.
I moved on to one of my go-to patterns, a Noodlehead Divided Basket, which I made from fabric for the current Mid-Atlantic Shop Hop (not really doing that one since I was traveling, but couldn’t resist the fabric with reminders of lots of places my family has been in that region. I also used some of that fabric for one of my versions of Not Your Ordinary Notepad by Sweet Tea Girls. For the other two versions I have some black, white, and rainbow prints from Andover Fabrics.
