In Progress

This is one of my current works in progress – Lori Holt’s Support Group pattern. I’ve trimmed it since this was taken at the end of my quilt guild’s recent sew day, so it just needs binding. This has been such a fun quilt to work on, and I think I can finish it by the end of the week.

I was ambitious when I started this blog a few months ago – somehow I thought I wouldn’t hit my usual streak of getting bogged down during the start of the school year. Now, as the first quarter of the year, football season, and the accompanying extra work when you are both the head cheerleading coach and the grade level chair starts to calm down, I am hoping to have more time to devote to my sewing, blogging, designing – all the things I love.

I have also been teaching at Cary Quilting a good bit! My Kandy Korn Kitty class was so much fun – who doesn’t love an adorable grumpy cat?

So many grumpy kitties!

I’m also working on a sew-along with the Alison Glass/Guicy Guice new mini alphabet pattern. It’s a really fun foundation paper piecing pattern. I’m starting with a small project to hold mail for my boys (since they are old enough to get bills in their name).

So, now I find myself with several works in progress and a day off tomorrow. I know what I’m going to do!
