Taste the Rainbow

I love the look of all types of quilts, but certain styles tickle my fancy more than others. Here are some of my favorites – including some great patterns to check out. I’m going to make this a series of posts, and we are starting with….

….Rainbow quilts! I have a collection of rainbow jelly rolls, charm packs, and fat quarter bundles that are ear-marked for rainbow-themed patterns. I just haven’t had the time yet to satisfy all of my rainbow fantasies, but they are so satisfying to just think about making.

This book is my current quilt color fantasy! I haven’t made any of them yet, but I love so many of them.https://amzn.to/3ZeNq5n
I love the various rainbow option of Elizabeth Hartman’s themed quilts.https://amzn.to/4dg2q6t
So many beautiful rainbow pallettes in this one!
The rainbow variation is the ONLY way to go as far as I’m concerned! I’ll add a picture of my version below.https://amzn.to/47kRaEe
The genius color combos from Tula Pink & Carl Hentsch combined with the foundation paper piecing are aspirational. I’ll share my variation below.https://amzn.to/4cVojrf
Jaybird quilts has some great patterns that lend themselves to rainbow colorways.https://amzn.to/3Xml9Hu
The mini pattern series from Jaybird is super-adorable! Whether you do a rainbow colorway or a partial rainbow, you can’t go wrong.https://amzn.to/3XEZyKD
The rainbow ombre flowers on this pattern (and in this Robin Pickens fabric line) were irresistable!

Here are a few of my rainbow makes – I’ll probably do some more detailed blog posts about several of these later.

Elizabeth Hartman’s Bunnies
Another Elizabeth Hartman pattern – Preppy the Whale – for my Vineyard Vines-loving son!
This beauty is right out of the NY York Beauties book mentioned about – all fabric is Alison Glass.
One Sassafrass Lane and one Jaybird mini quilt – featuring rainbow palettes. I made both of these from one charm pack.
Set Sail (Jaybird) in Tula Pink fabrics (plus the pillows in the corner are also Tula & Jaybird).
Tula & Jaybird…can’t miss!
Robin Pickens Bar Hop (minus the border). That ombre print is fantastic!

In my next post in this series, we’ll explore some of my favorite unique quilt patterns – including some fun themes.
